Room to Rent (or apartment to share): I am looking to downsize my living space and am looking to rent a room in an owner-occupied residence. Long-term is important to me. I liked my first apartment in Troy and stayed there for 6 years. That’s why an owner-occupied vs. a roommate in a rented apartment is preferable. That said, I would consider a roommate situation if the circumstances were right. My last roommate experience was good, it just ended too soon. Expenses are tight for everyone and I am willing to go as high as $500/month/inclusive depending on the “amenities”. What could you do with an extra $6,000 a year? Do you have an empty or extra room? Think about it. You probably know me and, if you do, you know me to be a quiet person, a proud Troy booster, a concerned volunteer.
