Death of Nina Pattison Downtown’s Nina Pattison died in her sleep on March 1 while visiting friends in Florida. Nina was born in Troy, moved to Ossining & Boston, & returned to Troy. She lived her life to the fullest on her own terms. Accomplished pianist & vocalist, former Troy City Council member, devoted pet owner to the late Rosy the Reading dog (as well as several other pets throughout her life). Her death will leave a void in the Park’s Christmas caroling – Nina was one of the pianists. She is survived by her children David, Chris & Martha Quinn. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Our condolences to the family, including brother John of the Park.

John adds his signature style & humor to this tale of entrepreneurship & Troy’s luck in luring the up & coming business from Long Island to the wilds of Upstate (without tax breaks!).
