Community Hospice Schedules Volunteer Training
The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County is recruiting people in your community to help their neighbors in need.
Hospice volunteers visit with patients in homes, nursing homes and hospitals. They may play cards or read aloud, take patients out for a ride through the old neighborhood, bring them an ice cream, cook a meal, pick up groceries, provide a quiet, reassuring presence, have a cup of tea with a caregiver, or drive a patient to a Hospice luncheon. There are limitless opportunities to bring joy to your neighbors and their families. If you want to be part of this wonderful organization, please give us a call. Many volunteers say that Hospice work is the most rewarding experience of their lives. For more information, email or call Susan Cunningham, Coordinator of Volunteer Services, at 285-8114.
